Our Boca Raton boarding facility provides comfortable and safe accommodations for your pet. Our facility is climate-controlled, so your pet will always be comfortable no matter the weather. Our facility is clean and well-maintained to prevent the spread of any illnesses.

Our pet boarding staff play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of your pet. They are experienced, caring, and knowledgeable about animal behavior and can handle any situation that may arise. They are also trained in administering medication and providing any necessary medical care for your pet.

Whether your pet is staying with us for a few days or a few weeks, we will do everything we can to make sure they are comfortable and happy. We know that leaving your pet in our care can be stressful, but our goal is to make the experience as smooth and stress-free as possible for both you and your pet.

Required Vaccinations

Reputable pet boarding facilities will require all pets to be up-to-date on their vaccinations before being admitted. This not only protects your pet but also the other pets in the facility. It is important to note that even if your pet is an indoor pet and does not come into contact with other animals, they can still be exposed to diseases through contact with contaminated surfaces or objects.

Please see below the required vaccinations your pet needs to have before they can board at our facility. All pets must also be free of internal and external parasites. If your pet is found to have internal or external parasites while boarding, they will be treated at the expense of the owner. If your pet is not up to date on a certain vaccination, we are happy to provide them with it before their check-in date.

Dogs:

• Rabies DHPP
• Bordetella (every 6 months)
• Canine Influenza(annually)
• Intestinal parasite screening (every 6 months)

Cats:

• Rabies FVRCP
• Intestinal parasite screening (every 6 months)

Standard Cages: Crate style, Dogs 1-20lbs only. (not to exceed 2 pets in same cage, must weigh together total of 25lbs or under)

Luxury Villas: 3ft x 6ft with glass door & flat screen TV (not to exceed 2-3 pets in same cage, depending on size and breed)

Luxury Suites: large room with stairs/flat screen TV/chandeliers/glass door and tile (not to exceed 4-5 pets in same cage, depending on size and breed)

Feline Townhouses

Here at Calusa Veterinary Center, we never leave our feline friends out! Our feline boarding room is a dog restricted area.

Our cat condos are beautiful, durable, high-quality pieces of furniture with amenities designed especially to pamper the most finicky of felines. With a resting shelf and private area for litter. The unit consists of 3 rooms: a living and sleeping area (equipped with a cat perching platform), a litter box area and feeding or hiding area. Optional partition wall cat door can connect all units together giving cats extra space for them to climb and play and share time with other cats from the same family. We have single, double, and triple suites available.

Our cats also get a enrichment stretch time outside of their regular condos daily in the cat room should they want some time to release any extra energy they may have. We have perches in the window and walls. There is an air purifier in the room and use Feliway spray to keep a sense of calm. Please feel free to ask for a tour next time you are in.

What to Bring & Not to Bring

1. Please consider leaving all food bowls, toys, and bedding at home. We provide all these items at our boarding facility for your pet and want to ensure your pet’s items are not accidentally lost.
2. Please remember to bring enough of your pet's usual food to last them the duration of their stay. An abrupt change in their diet can lead to digestive issues. If you forget to bring their food, prescription diets can be purchased at our hospital pharmacy, and we carry canine dry Purina Pro Plan Veterinary Diet EN food (highly digestible nutrition solution) for in-clinic use. Please note that we have a limited stock of cat food, and we do not carry Hill’s Science Diet.
3. If your pet is taking any medication, please bring along the original packaging and directions.

Pick-Up & Drop-Off Schedule

• Monday - Saturday: 8:30am - 5:30pm
• No pickup or drop off on Sundays or major holidays*
