Dr. Courtney Glotzer

DVM, MS

Dr. Courtney Glotzer is a South Florida native. She obtained her Bachelor of Science degree majoring in Animal Science from the University of Vermont. She then proceeded to acquire her Master of Science degree at Tufts University in Animals and Public Policy. In 2024, Courtney received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine Cum Laude Honors from St. George’s University, and her clinical training from the University of Florida.

Throughout her studies, she has worked with a plethora of animals ranging from dogs, cats, exotics, wildlife, as well as farm animals. During her schooling, Dr. Glotzer became very interested in shelter, wildlife, emergency medicine, and general practice. She externed and worked at a number of places throughout New England and Florida, but her favorites include South Florida Wildlife Center, Broward County Humane Society and of course, Calusa Veterinary Center.

During her time at St. George’s University, she started a student run organization that she named WAG (Wellness, Aid and Guidance) which provided support for both owned and homeless animals that were in need of advanced medical treatment in Grenada. Dr. Glotzer is extremely passionate about helping rescue animals and finding them loving homes.

During her free time you can find her at the dog beach with her Coonhound named Oakley or playing with her cat, named Moo. Dr. Glotzer is ecstatic to have joined the Calusa Veterinary team, as she long admired their skill set, compassion, and loyalty to animals and their owners.
